Соотношение труда и капитала зависит главным образом от относительной цены на труд и капитал, а также их относительной производительности. Это в свою очередь зависит от степени стандартизации продукции, т.к. на небольших, фрагментированных рынках сбыта, в условиях, когда потребители предъявляют спрос на широкий ассортимент товаров, невозможно делать ставку на крупномасштабное капиталоемкое производство.
